This first section of Via Stockalper is full of interesting sights, to be admired along the route in Switzerland: the mighty castle in Brig, the Walser houses in the small villages, the Saltina gorges, the small village of Grund, the Taferna gorges with the characteristic 1684 rest area and the Simplon plateau.
