This is the third section of Via Stockalper: the Zwischbergen valley (previously known as Valle Vaira) opens with a view of the waterfall and glacial features, and then meets the gold mines, the lake dam, larch forests and steep mountains with vast pasture clearings. Similar natural environments welcome you in the beautiful upper Bognanco Valley, with large meadows and characteristic peat bogs with ponds, set between cosy refuges.
