The Circuit of the Saints in the Vigezzo Valley is an articulated network of routes, scattered throughout the territory, with one common denominator: to retrace and discover religious locations. The buildings of worship reveal the historical and artistic depth of the Painters’ Valley, which exhibits its own beauties of sacred art: around 40 churches, sanctuaries and small oratories, precious and unmistakable signs of the strong popular devotion of this mountainous territory.
The Circuit of the Saints can be completed along three possible routes:
the western route, including the territories of Druogno and Santa Maria Maggiore;
the central route, including the territories of Toceno and Craveggia;
the eastern route, including the territories of Villette, Malesco and Re.
Throughout the itinerary, educational panels are located near each religious building to offer useful information to visitors and a host of information on devotion, art and history in the Vigezzo Valley. Video guides and audio guides of the routes can be downloaded free of charge from the Circuito dei Santi website.
