The Parish Church of the Our Lady of the Assumption in Premosello Chiovenda is the most important religious building in the Municipality of the Lower Ossola and was built between the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century.
Externally, the façade appears as a gabled structure preceded by a tripartite pronaos with depressed arches. On the right stands the bell tower, a sturdy and squat tower with a flat roof. On the left edge of the little parvis in front of the church stands the baptistery, dating from 1780, once the ancient ossuary of the community of Premosello.
Inside are valuable wooden Baroque style furnishings, such as the pulpit and the confessionals. A fragment of a fresco, very probably dating from the early 1500s, has been discovered under the plaster of the left side aisle, evidence of the older construction.
