If covered in its entirety, Rio Menta-Ogliana di Quarata, one of the longest in Europe, is undoubtedly the most challenging gorge in the Ossola Valley canyoning scene. The most popular part, which is not by any means short, is the last part, known as Ogliana di Quarata. It offers the most beautiful and evocative scenery, but also some of the most challenging. Overall, the difficulty level is high and the Rio Menta is practicable only during the summer months.
