The route starts from Bognanco Fonti, with its thermal baths, mineral water springs and modern wellness centre, and heads higher up to San Lorenzo, which, with its sunny hamlets, old houses, oratories and frescoed chapels, is the heart of civil and administrative life in the Bognanco Valley.
Description
From the main square in Bognanco Fonti, take the steps on the right that lead to the paved road until you reach the square with the fountain. From here, go up towards the church and continue, crossing the paved road again, then go down slightly to the right to take the path with signs for Boco and San Lorenzo. The path climbs via many hairpin bends and reaches the village of Boco. From here follow a stretch of paved road and then deviate to reach Bacinasco. Going through the village, with its 16th and 17th-century houses, cross the paved road and reach San Lorenzo. From the main piazza a signpost indicates the mule track downhill. Pass by a chapel and then you arrive at the cemetery, skirting it on the left until you reach Camisanca. Continue until you cross the paved road, following the path for a short distance and crossing the paved road again. Afterwards, walk again along the mule track that passes from Possetto, cross the road and arrive at the oratory. You reach the hamlet at a cross just above Bognanco Fonti, then you can descend to the church and then to the main square.
