The Baceno-Devero-Crampiolo hike in Antigorio Valley was first held in 1970 as a non-competitive race, and, although still preserving something of the pure spirit of the original hike, over the years participants have developed a sense of healthy competition. The hike is set against the spectacular scenery of the Antigorio Valley; the paths are dotted with stunning architecture like the San Gaudenzio Church, one of the most beautiful churches in the Alps, whilst the natural wonders that are just as mesmerising, like the Marmitte glacial formations.
The highest part of the hike is by far the most breathtaking: the Alpe Devero national park, where participants can take in all the magnificence of the mountains and the panoramic, unobstructed views.
