The Ossola Valley, one of the alpine valleys with the richest variety of outdoor options, is ready to welcome you for a complete outdoor holiday.
The authentic, unspoilt terrain is an ideal setting for trekking: every valley is dotted with hundreds of routes suitable for all levels of fitness and training. Routes to enjoy slowly, between Alpine lakes, majestic peaks and captivating landscapes.
For the more adventurous, the Ossola valleys are a goldmine of climbing walls: the best known is Balmalonesca, but many other crags and long routes are a must for climbing enthusiasts.
Thanks to its spectacular streams, the Ossola Valley is a paradise for canyoning enthusiasts, as well as for those who want to try canyoning for the first time accompanied by qualified mountain guides. Today, more than ever, we cannot fail to mention running and trail running: in September 2022, the Ossola Valley will host the Skyrunning World Championships. Thanks to well-maintained and well-marked trails, the Ossola valleys offer routes for all tastes, along more than 500 kilometres of trails and over 20,000 metres of altitude difference.
A lesser-known activity, which is ideally suited to the Ossola Valley, is Nordic walking, as well as the unique experience of playing golf surrounded by the enchanting Alpine ranges.
Horse-riding enthusiasts will find stables and equestrian centres scattered throughout the Ossola Valley. Another unmissable experience is gliding: paragliding or hang gliding in the skies over the Ossola valleys and discovering their landscapes from this unusual viewpoint will be an unforgettable adventure.
Naturally, the heart of the valleys is the town of Domodossola: as well as being the ideal starting point for an active holiday, it is also home to the Domo Sporting Center.
Finally… no summer is complete without a day in an adventure park: in the Ossola Valley there are three fun parks offering adrenalin-filled, exciting experiences for children and adults alike.
