Along route IF14 – “Flower Trail” – From Alpe Ciamporino to Alpe Veglia, you reach Alpe Veglia, where you can stay overnight in one of the accommodation facilities in the town. Upon awakening in this beautiful alpine basin, you start from the village of Cornù and take the F99 path, which enters the coniferous forest until you reach Alpe dul Scricc. Pastures, woods and streams make up the wonderful scenery in this small corner of ancient forest.
Description
From the accommodation facilities in the Alpe Veglia plain (Cornù), take the F99 path in the direction of the Valtendra Pass: this section is part of the Great Crossing of the Alps (gta) route and other routes such as the Tour dei Minerali (TM – Mineral Way), the Sentiero Italia (SI – Italy Path), da Rifugio a Rifugio (from Refuge to Refuge – Veglia/Devero Crossing) and Alpeggi Senza Confine (ASC – Alpine pastures without Borders). The path, after a short climb and leaving on the left the path that climbs to Lago Bianco, flanks the Rio Frua as far as the “Pian dul Scricc” plateau and its pasture, still used by shepherds. Follow signs for Alpe Stalaregno and use route F99c to reach La Balma and from here return to the settlement of Cornù.
